IxD: What are we to do in order not to fail?

Uno dei contributi presentati in un recente convegno di educatori HCI (Human Computer Interaction), svol-tosi a Limerick nel Marzo di que-st'anno, ci ha proposto un interroga-tivo che, al di là del contenuto del-l'articolo stesso, ben rappresenta lo stato d'animo di una buona parte degli educatori HCI di impostazione tradi-zionale: "HCI education: We are failing why ?" Nello specifico Edwards, Wright e Petrie, a partire dai casi clamorosi dello Stock Exchange di Tokyo e del voto per la scelta della sede dei giochi olimpici del 2012 ci fanno notare come gli insegnamenti dell'HCI tradizionale non riescono ad essere trasferiti dai docenti agli studenti, futuri progettisti di disposi-tivi HCI; anche perché gli insegnamenti di tale disciplina vengo-no considerati troppo semplici e derivabili dal senso comune. Cosa vuol dire questo ? Semplicemente che per molti il design dell'interazione non è da considerarsi un disciplina, un "mestiere". Niente di più sbagliato!
